Classic Lower East Side
A colorful art print of the classic architecture of New York City’s Lower East Side.
The unique treatment in this photo was created by hand—and by chance—through a process called souping. The image was first shot on film; then that film was soaked for 24 hours in a mixture of water and various substances (the soup) and left to dry for a couple of weeks. Once dry, I developed and scanned the film myself. What resulted was this unique, colorful scene of a building in New York's Lower East Side.
