Every spring in Atlanta, the dogwoods bloom. Every spring, Mallory shoots them. This image is what happened when the film arrived already altered: Neon blue sprays like paint upon bold hues of yellow, orange and pink — colors and textures the chemistry built over six months before the shutter opened. The dogwood remains familiar, but charged.

The film went into the soup before this frame was shot. Household ingredients, six months of drying, the emulsion already altered by the time the film was loaded into the camera. The dogwood you know, seen through film that had already become something else.

All twelve works in the Electric Dogwoods series came from a single roll of expired film stock, discontinued and unrepeatable.

Prints & Sizing

All fine art prints feature a white border and are printed on a high quality, museum-grade archival paper made from 100% cotton fiber with a lightly textured, semi-gloss surface.

The listed dimensions reflect the full print size. The image area is slightly smaller to accommodate the border.

  • Small: 11 x 14” paper size; 9.5 x 12.5” image size
  • Medium: 18 x 24” paper size; 16 x 22” image size
  • Large: 24 x 36” paper size; 22 x 34” image size
  • X-Large: 30 x 45” paper size; 28 x 42” image size
  • Oversized: 36 x 54” paper size; 32 x 50” image size

Authenticity

  • Small (11×14"): Open Edition, signed
  • Medium (18×24"): Open Edition, signed
  • Large (24×36"): Limited Edition of 50, signed and numbered
  • X-Large (30×45"): Limited Edition of 75, signed and numbered
  • Oversized (36×54"): Limited Edition of 25, signed and numbered

Each limited edition includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity documenting edition number and artist signature. Once an edition sells out, that size is permanently retired—it will never be reproduced again.
