Florida Gulf Coast palms transformed with soft pink atmospheric colors through experimental analog photography. Shot on film and processed using film soup—controlled chemical interventions that create delicate color shifts—this piece captures the distinct character of Gulf Coast palms while rendering them in dreamlike pastel tones.
The film soup technique creates chemical reactions that generate these soft pink and peach color shifts across the sky. The gentle, romantic quality visible throughout this image emerges from physical interactions during development, transforming Gulf Coast scenery into something more ethereal and contemporary.
From the Palm Abstractions collection, Pastel Paradise series—where Gulf Coast palms meet soft experimental color.
