Palm trees reimagined through experimental analog photography, where chemical intervention transforms tropical greens into luminous pinks and golds. Shot on film and transformed through film soup—submerging exposed negatives in experimental chemical baths—this piece exemplifies how unexpected material interactions can create entirely new visual experiences.
The film soup process generates unrepeatable color transformations across the negative through controlled chemical reactions. What begins as traditional palm tree documentation becomes something far more evocative through experimental intervention—saturated pinks, warm undertones, and atmospheric effects that exist only because of physical manipulation during development.
From the Palm Abstractions collection, where experimental technique meets iconic coastal subjects to produce contemporary fine art photography.
