Gulf Coast sea oats rendered in cool blues and atmospheric tones through experimental analog photography. Shot on film and transformed using film soup—controlled chemical interventions that shift natural colors—this piece demonstrates how experimental technique can create quieter, more contemplative coastal imagery.

The film soup process generates chemical reactions that transform standard coastal greens and browns into cooler blues and teals. These color shifts emerge from physical interactions between exposed film and experimental chemical baths, creating a sense of calm that highlights the natural elegance of Gulf Coast dune vegetation.

From the Coastal Alchemy collection, where natural Gulf Coast subjects meet analog experimentation.
